A successful pilot of New Music Incubator took place in 2010, featuring twenty new music practitioners from the UK and Sweden. The first residency took place in April 2010 in the beautiful surroundings of the island of Saltögården, near Gothenburg, Sweden. The participants then re-grouped in London in September 2010 for the final residency at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a performance of new material at new music venue, Cafe Oto.

Co-leading both residencies were composer, Martin Q Larsson,from Sweden and sound artist and composer, Jan Hendrickse, from the UK.
