1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
It is essential that you read all of the important information below before you start to compile your application as it will really help you to put your best foot forward when applying. We want to help you to put in a good application - we're not here to catch you out!
2. DON'T FORGET TO MAKE IT INTERESTING!
When you apply to the PRS for Music Foundation, the main thing to remember is that we are for new music. However, it is not enough to simply be putting on music events which feature new music within our remit. Because of the demand on our funds, we are really looking to support organisations and groups that can demonstrate that they're doing something really interesting, innovative, original or exciting which will develop the new music landscape in the UK.
Please note that you can only apply to one scheme per calendar year, regardless of the outcome.
If you are not sure which scheme is most suitable for you, please contact the Applications Team by emailing applications@prsformusicfoundation.com
3. ABOUT THE APPLICATION FORMS
The application form guidelines for each scheme are listed here and are available as pdf downloads. To open/print these documents you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Acrobat the software can be obtained easily and for free from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
The forms should be very simple to download. However if you do have difficulty downloading the forms, hard copies are available from the Applications Department by emailing applications@prsformusicfoundation.com
4. HOW MUCH TO APPLY FOR
Please note that the average award made by the PRS for Music Foundation in 2009 was around £3,000.
It is important to ask the PRS for Music Foundation for a realistic sum in order that we can support applicants at a realistic level. If you would like guidance please contact the Applications Team by emailing applications@prsformusicfoundation.com
5. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR APPLICATION
