- be programming new British music of any genre
- remember to tell us as much about the music in your forthcoming events as possible
Note for promoters of new/unsigned bands
The PRS for Music Foundation wishes to support unsigned band promoters who are taking a more strategic approach to the development of their artists. We expect promoters to be assisting artists to reach the next stage of their careers, rather than just giving them an opportunity to perform. Therefore it is essential that you demonstrate that you can offer several of the following:
- links to the music industry and/or other promoters which will provide new opportunities for your artists
- provision of songwriting/performance/music industry workshops
- programmes of workshops that lead to performances
- mentoring schemes
- unsigned/new bands integrated into your programme alongside established artists
Before submitting an application, remember to read our guidelines for applying, available here.
