Talent Development Partner 2017: Saffron Records

Talent Development Partner 2017: Saffron Records

Saffron Records is an all female record label and music education platform supporting young women aged 16-25 years old.

Their Talent Development Partner supported programme will support a selection of artists to receive artist development through a series of masterclasses, focus groups and industry days including conferences, networking events and training. Whilst receiving this additional support they will work toward releasing a single or E.P through Saffron Records.

Saffron Records will hold a series of masterclasses that will focus on the different areas of the industry which are open to emerging artists across Bristol and the South West. Topics covered will include touring, PR/marketing, contracting and sound engineering. These masterclasses are also a good opportunity for like-minded women to connect and create a supportive and collaborative space.

Their focus groups will work with the emerging artists, as they present their music, brand and marketing plan to the group and receive feedback. This will encourage the artists to take the advice and make their music and brand into a more marketable package. Saffron Records feel it is really important for our young women to work together with the industry, as this is a natural and organic way to create networking opportunities.

Saffron Records are a young team with a diverse outlook on the industry. They work with young designers, artists, interns and apprentices that all work on campaigns that support our young artists. This environment is creative, supportive and focused, which can challenge stale ideals that are still loitering around in the music industry.
