Tony Moore

Tony MooreTony Moore has put enormous energy and passion into creating the Kashmir Klub, a live acoustic venue in the heart of London that offers a platform for songwriters and performers from all over the world, signed and unsigned, to be able to perform in a unique atmosphere that has to be experienced to be understood

The Kashmir Klub has been described as the coolest club in London and has played host to artists such as Kiki Dee, Belina Carlisle, Marcella Detroit from Shakespeare's Sister, Mick Fleetwood, Nik Kershaw, The Dum Dum's, Dane Bowers, Muse and many more. Tony has selected three British songwriters who are amongst his favourite visitors to the Kashmir.

Ed Harcourt
Over the last few years it has been my honour and pleasure to meet some fantastic songwriters and witness their performance at the Kashmir Klub. In particular I remember Ed Harcourt who used to come and 'develop' his songs and live show with us. Slowly we saw him putting together a band, finding a manager and then showcasing for his record deal. Already he has been a Mercury Award nominee and I think his individual and passionate style will captivate an international audience. I am convinced of his ability to be a long term major artist that is VERY British, but whose appeal is like that of all the great UK artists of the 60's and 70's and has no boundaries.

Nerina Pallot
The amazing Nerina Pallot made her live debut at the Klub - and for about 2 and half years she didn't actually play anywhere else! Now she has a great album released on Polydor, has toured with Semisonic and was the opening act for Paul Weller at the Albert Hall. In 2002 I predict that her classic songs and soft yet addictive voice will win a massive audience.

Lucy Silvas and Richard Lobb
Two new singer/songwriters that have 'everything' for me are Lucy Silvas and Richard Lobb. Neither has a deal at present (although Lucy is signed to Chrysalis publishing) but they both have the ability to write songs that move me and remain stuck in my brain for days afterwards.
Lucy is an astonishingly versatile singer and piano player whose material has touches of R and B as well as timeless pop and her ballads can weave wonderful magic. Richard is laid back and has a breathy voice that is quite magical, his songs are intensely melodic and familiar yet they are quite different from anyone else. His words are free of cliche yet you know exactly what he is trying to say.
