PRSF provides more funding deadlines for 2010!

The PRS for Music Foundation (PRSF) is increasing the number of deadlines for its funding schemes. From 2010 there will be four deadlines per year for the Awards to Performances Groups, Festivals, Promoters, Organisations and New Works schemes; an increase on the one or two deadlines per year previously available per scheme.
The change forms part of PRSF’s mission to remain a proactive and approachable funder, and responds to feedback from previous applicants and PRSF’s recent impact study. Charlotte Ray, Co-Director, said “As the UK’s only independent funder dedicated to new music of all genres, we strive to be a real ally to the sector. With any one of four points in the year available to apply for funding, organisations can choose the best time for themselves to look for support, both artistically and financially”
The criteria and application requirements for the schemes will remain the same, with grants awarded to those applications which most closely meet the PRS for Music Foundation’s aims, and applicants still limited to submitting just one application in any calendar year.
Other recent changes which have been implemented following feedback from applicants include the introduction of the online application system, and grant payments via BACS.
The deadlines for applications for Performances Groups, Festivals, Promoters, Organisations and New Works in 2010 will be:
- Friday 12 February 2010
- Friday 16 April 2010
- Monday 9 August 2010
- Friday 15 October 2010
All other PRS Foundation funding schemes (Bliss Trust Composer Bursaries, British Music Abroad, Jazz Promoters and Live Connections) will continue with the same number and regularity of deadlines.
