My Federation

My Federation are an electro rock band from Brighton, from the same school of technicolour pop-rock as The Flaming Lips, Supergrass and The Super Furry Animals. My Federation dishes up songs filled with glorious harmonies and fat riffs.

To date, My Federation has played over 120 live shows all over the UK, including a 13 date UK support tour with James in April 2008. They headlined the Brighton stage at Beachdown Festival this summer and also performed overseas including Le Trans Musicale, Cultura y Vanguardia Festival, The Caribana Festival, Positivus Festival and Calvadose de Rock.

SXSW 2009 is the perfect networking environment to promote My Federation in front of US and international label representatives, live gig agents, festival promoters and to set up potential tours and recording contracts abroad. The band are currently in the middle of an eight week US college radio campaign which continues into early February. The funding from the PRSF has made this trip possible and allows the band more creative freedom to continue promoting their music and build on their ever growing fanbase.
